Our10.org Redesign

The original Our10.org website design was really never supposed to go live, but due to our want to get a functional website out there that people could use while they were in need (during the local flooding from Irene/Lee) we pushed the website live as it was. Once everything settled down, I decided to redesign the website for disaster assistance on a national/global scale. This is what the new Our10.org will look like.

Our10.org Advertisement

Here's an advertising graphic/concept I put together in Photoshop. Certainly a concept that's been realized before but fun to do nonetheless. This is for a non-profit website (http://Our10.org) that I conceptualized and am co-founder of that helps disaster victims start over with the help of people in their area.

Stained Glass Layer Styles

I saw an advertisement for a french television show that used this sort of look and wanted to build it myself. Everything you see in the graphic aside from the bottle of vodka and the lime was built 100% in Photoshop using only layer styles and texture overlays (also created in Photoshop). I only used Absolut for a subject to work with. The great thing about using layer styles for stained glass panels is that if you want to change the glass texture style, it's only a couple of clicks away. Stained glass typically mixes and matches different textures of glass so replicating something fairly realistic is simple.

Custom Photoshop Styles - m.cahill's Saweet Shoppe

So I make custom Photoshop styles all the time and they're typically a lot better than the canned stuff you can download for free out there. I decided to go ahead and put together some style packs for sale on eBay. This is experimental to see if anyone would be willing to pay for my custom styles. Here's my first go at a custom style pack. This one is called Saweet Shoppe. All texturing and styling done in the graphic below can be done with the click of your mouse when you have Saweet Shoppe installed in your style library in Photoshop. All for 5 bucks too, which I think is pretty cheap considering the styles apply flawlessly, even at very high resolutions.

Custom Facebook Page

Here's a custom Facebook page (canvas page) that I designed for a local bar/restaurant. Lots of nice textures and a great old 1950's postcard feel. The point of the advertisement is to let customers know that there are lakeside events now that summer is here, picnic benches, horseshoe pits, etc. Also, to give the bar a nice fresh Summertime look for the season. Included below is the picture of the bench that I started this with, as well as event photos crafted from this original design:
